My Pledge to Mother Earth

This world of ours is continuously destroyed by human beings. Yet, not many effective measures have been taken to deal with this problem. I am therefore extremely dissatisfied and I for now swear that I will protect the environment. From now on, I will get rid of my bad habit of simply throwing rubbish onto the floor. If possible, instead of using plastic bags, I will choose to use recycling bags (But then, I think that is impossible) XD…

Also, if I can become an influential person, I would surely enforced laws against anybody who tend to destroy our beautiful planet. I hereby swear that I will not become one of those politicians who think that industrial development which brings on board investment and glory is far more important than environment… That is because all of us should love and cherish Mother Earth. Without Mother Earth, who are we?

Chinese New Year Celebration

Basically, Chinese New Year is quite an interesting celebration for me since I could get a lot of ang paus from my parents and relatives. Oh well, one thing very special about Chinese New Year in Malaysia is that we will play firecrackers during our New Year Eve. Anyway, Malaysia's Chinese New Year Celebration is all about visiting one another, eating and getting ang paus. That reminds me of Sarawak's kuih lapis that is sort of tasty! Hehe...

Let me then talk about food in Vietnam during this special day...In Vietnam, they are used to bursting firecrackers on this day. In Tet or Chinese New Year, they eat Banh Chung, a type of special cake, which symbolizes the Earth. They also have little white cakes known as Banh Day, which symbolizes the sky. These two cakes are wrapped in the banana leaves and boiled.

Regardless of how people from all around the wrld celebrate their Chinese New Year the most important thing is that, they celebrate it happily.

This morning I was asked by my English teacher, Mdm. Flowrese to create my own blog. That idea of hers was quite interesting, but then the internet connection was extremely slow because there were so many of us in the lsb who were trying to access the same website... My patience was 'torn into pieces'...
